Some people who have the trichomoniasis infection may not experience any symptoms for at least awhile so you might have trichomoniasis and not know it for even years until tested.

When you do experience symptoms of trichomoniasis though the symptoms and first signs of trichomoniasis are pain during sex, Vaginal discharge that is green, yellow, gray, frothy, and/or bad-smelling, bloody vaginal discharge and swelling around your genitals.

You may also experience itching or irritation either in or around your vagina.

If you notice any of those symptoms you should see a doctor and get treatment for it.

Serious health issues can occur if trichomoniasis is left untreated.

When you have trichomoniasis you need to seek medical treatment to avoid any further serious health issues.

When trichomoniasis is left untreated inflammation of the vagina, urethra and cervix can occur as well as cause pelvic inflammatory disease.

If you're pregnant and have trichomoniasis and it's left untreated it can lead to problems with the pregnancy and cause premature labor and result in more low-birth-weight babies.

So if you do have the trichomoniasis you need to get it treated as soon as possible to avoid any other health issues.
