The average amount of gallons that people use per month is between 1,000 to 3,000 gallons of water per month.
Myself I use around 2,000 gallons of water per month in the fall and winter months and when it's summer and I'm filling a swimming pool or watering grass or the kids are playing in the water sprinklers the water usage can go up to 5,000 to 10,000 gallons per month.
Even when I use 10,000 gallons of water per month I pay only $30.00 extra on my water bill during those times and it's well worth it.
Normally in the winter months or fall months my water bill averages around $20.00 to $25.00 per month just for the water usage.
So I can pay around $50.00 to $55.00 per month for water in the summer with the swimming pool, watering grass, playing in the sprinklers and the household water use for baths, showers, laundry etc.
