Strep throat is caused by a bacteria and will go away on it's own without any medicines or antibiotics but the strep throat may last longer without antibiotics and you'll suffer longer.

When you go to the doctor for strep throat they can prescribe you some antibiotics to take to help get rid of the strep throat sooner which is a good thing.

When you take antibiotics for strep throat it should go away within 7 to 10 days but if you don't take antibiotics the strep throat may last for up to a month sometimes if not treated.

Gargling with apple cider vinegar can also help get rid of strep throat but you really should take some antibiotics if you can go to the doctor.

When you have strep throat you should also eat foods that are easy to swallow and soothing such as ice cream.

Ice cream is perfectly fine to eat when you have strep throat as it's easy to swallow and the ice cream can also help soothe the strep throat.

Ice cream is also good to eat when you have a regular sore throat as well or when you have your tonsils out.

I've always eaten ice cream when I've had strep throat and sore throat as it helps to soothe the sore throat and strep throat.

When you have strep throat you should eat foods that are easily swallowed and are soothing.

Some other foods that are good to eat when you have strep throat are, broth, soups, applesauce, cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft cooked eggs.

You can also puree foods to make them easier to eat as well when you have a strep throat and even foods such as sherbet, frozen yogurt or frozen fruit pops are also soothing and easy to eat when you have a strep throat.

When you have strep throat you should see a doctor and get antibiotics to get rid of the strep throat and when you do take antibiotics the strep throat should go away within 7 to 10 days.

And if not you should see your doctor about the strep throat again.
