Most leg cramps commonly affect the calf muscles but may occur in the hamstrings or muscles of the feet, especially at night.
Usually the leg cramps are nothing to worry about although they can be painful sometimes and annoying but sometimes in rare cases the leg cramps could be a sign of something such as diabetes or peripheral artery disease.
If the leg cramps keep happening or seem to get worse or happen too often then you should let your doctor know about it.
