Hair dryer dims lights when it's running?

Whenever I turn on my hair dryer the lights in the bathroom dim and stay dim until I turn the hair dryer off?

Is that dangerous when the lights dim when the hair dryer comes on?

Hair dryers are huge consumers of electricity and draw around 1,000 to 1,800 watts of power when on.

When the hair dryer is on the highest setting it draws a lot of amperage and can take up most of the amp capacity on the electrical wire and line.

If you have other things on the electrical circuit that are consuming electricity at the same time then the lights cam dim as a result of the hair dryer running.

As long as your breaker is not getting hot or the cord to the hair dryer is not getting hot then it's likely safe to continue using your hair dryer.

If your house is a new build house then electrical code usually requires a dedicated electrical outlet in bathrooms that have no other things such as lights etc wired too it.

That is for the hair dryer that most people use in the bathroom because they draw a lot of power.
