When it comes to the maximum safe temperature for residents to bathe or shower the best and safest temperatures are between a range of 98 degrees F to 100 F degrees.

Any temperature higher than 100 F could cause scalding and burning of the skin and if the water is too hot for you to safely get in then just turn the cold water on more to cool down the water to your desired temperature.

Mixing valves are on most newer construction homes in the baths now because they are usually required by code to ensure the water temperature doesn't get too hot and scald someone.

You want the temperature of the water to be cooler for a baby or young child by around 95 F or 98 F is usually safe for a babies or toddlers bath water.

You can buy some bath thermometers to help dial in the water temperature for safety and your comfort as well.
