Being hungry and fasting can help you lose weight because when you don't eat and are hungry your body naturally goes into fat burning mode.

That fat burning mode eats at your fat to feed your body to give you enough energy to keep going but if you don't have much fat to burn then you may get weaker and weaker and become sick.

If you are in need of losing weight and have fat to burn off then it's okay to do fasting every few days but don't always stay hungry because it can make you sick.

For example try going one day without eating anything which is fasting and then the next day eat something low in calories.

Then the day after that fast again and do exercises as well and after a year you should easily drop 100 lbs of weight if that is your goal.

Most people who are losing weight and on a diet and exercise can expect to lose between 1 to 2 lbs of weight per week.

That 1 to 2 lbs of weight per week equals about 4 to 8 lbs of weight per month which is the safest amount of weight to lose in one months time.

Trying to lose more than 8 lbs of weight per month can be dangerous to your health and 8 lbs of weight maximum per month is a healthy amount of weight to lose per month.

So if you lose 8 lbs of weight per month that means that you could lose 96 lbs of weight per year which is a healthy goal.

When I went on a diet, exercised and did fasting I lost 100 lbs in a years time which was good.

So I lost a bit over 8 lbs of weight per month but trying to lose anymore than that can be unhealthy.
