An inch of snow that falls over 1 acre of ground evenly will create around 2,715 gallons of water and if the inch of snow falls over 2 acres of land the snow can create 5,430 gallons of water.
So in all that snow that falls over several acres of land can create billions of gallons of water once it melts eventually.
While I have started hating snow now because of a mess it creates I tolerate it because we all need snow for the water we drink, bathe with, wash dishes with etc.
Although we get more water through rain than we do with snow or ice but snow is still very useful to us here on earth.
