Being in a nursing home is sort of like being in prison but with a nursing home there are no bars on the windows, no fence around the property with razor wire to prevent escape and you can check out of the nursing home at anytime and either leave it for good or go out to eat with your family or go do things with your family.

When a person is in prison the prisoner cannot leave the prison for going with their family and they cannot just choose to check out of the prison.

The prisoner must stay in the prison against their will until their sentence is up or they are moved to a new prison.

So while being in a nursing home seems like prison a nursing home life is much better than prison life although I would prefer to not be in a nursing home.

I would take living in a nursing home over living my life in a prison where I had no choice to stay and could not leave the prison.
