New tires can sometimes make a humming noise until they've been broken in.

I've had some tires that were new make a humming noise when speeding up and going down the highway until around 500 miles later.

The tire shop said that sometimes the tires would make a humming noise and that it should go away after 400 to 500 miles.

They were right about it and the noise didn't start until the tires were replaced so it was the tires.

Not all new tires will make a humming noise though so you might also want to check the bearings by jacking the wheel up and spinning it and see if you hear a humming noise then.

If you do still hear a humming noise then it's usually the bearings in the wheel hub and the entire wheel hub and bearing will need replaced if it's a front wheel drive vehicle.

If it's a rear wheel drive vehicle then the bearings themselves can be replaced.
