As a tire ages the steel wires and steel belts inside the tire start separating and those steel wires help to hold the tire together.

When you notice the tire tread separating it means that the tire is gonna eventually blow especially at high speed and if the tire is on the front of the vehicle and blows out on you then you could wind up rolling the vehicle and possibly dying or at least getting severely injured.

When a tire is separating at the tread or sidewall get the tire changed right away or don't drive the vehicle until you can either put a spare tire on or get a new tire.

Tires ideally should be replaced every 5 to 10 years and if your tires are 10 years old or older then you should replace them regardless if they have tread.

I had a family member die in a rollover accident when a front tire separated on their Van and it injured their 1 year old son but luckily he lived.

The Van was driving at 65 MPH when suddenly the tire had separated and caused the loss of control of the van and then it rolled over.

Sometimes the tire may just blowout and come apart on the highway and leave you stranded while other times it could cause a rollover.

Don't chance yourself or your families or other families lives by trying to save money on tires replace them before they blowout.
