Driving in the snow is safe as long as you slow down and keep both hands on the steering wheel.

If safe to do so slow down and drive at least 5 to 10 mph slower as when it's snowing your visibility is reduced and you may not see too far ahead of you and there could be vehicles driving slower than you and then you could end up slamming into the back of them.

Keep a farther distance as well and if the snow gets too deep then you may need to install snow chains on your tires or have some snow tires for winter driving conditions.

If you don't need to be out driving in the snow then stay home and avoid the possibility of getting stranded or getting into an accident.

Also make sure you have blankets in your car in case you happen to get stranded and make sure your gas tank is filled so that you can run the engine and heater for a little bit at a time to stay warm.
