When the gas pump shuts off at the nozzle when filling your tank you could have something blocking the flow of fuel in the fuel hose that the gasoline goes down into your fuel tank.

Or you could have some vapor in the fuel tank causing the gasoline to not go into the tank properly which causes the nozzle to shut off.

You might also have the nozzle in the filler hole too tight and it's not allowing some air into the tank so that the fuel nozzle shuts off due to the back pressure.

I get that problem sometimes on my truck that when I have the nozzle pressed into the fuel filler hole too tight and too far it causes the fuel pump nozzle to shut off even when the tank is near empty.

When I pull the nozzle up just a few inches to allow some air into the tank it allows the fuel to go on down into the tank and keeps the nozzle from shutting off.

The problem can also sometimes be in the fuel nozzle itself so it may not even be your vehicle that is the problem.

Maybe try at a different gas station and if it does the same thing then it's your vehicle that's the problem.

But I would recommend try lifting the nozzle out just a few inches and not push it in there all the way as that seems to help in my case.
