If you go to bed late at night and sleep late enough to get enough sleep to function the rest of the day then no bad health effects should occur.

But if you go to bed late all the time and wake up too early and don't get at least 7 to 10 hours of sleep and wake up refreshed then you can harm your health.

When you don't get enough sleep the body doesn't repair and recharge itself properly overnight so you don't feel at your best the next day.

You increase your risk of developing diseases such as dementia, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and much more.

Also you risk getting into auto accidents or other accidents because you're not as alert during the day and your reaction time is slowed.

Make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep to be able to function the next day and avoid coffee or anything containing caffeine at least 3 to 4 hours before bedtime.
