If you keep the cats litter box clean and free of pee and poop often enough then you shouldn't have too much of a health issue with sleeping with a cat litter box in you room.
However if possible try putting the cat litter box into the bathroom where it's much healthier for you and your family and you can then just scoop the poop out of the litter box and directly put it into the toilet and flush it.
My cats litter box is in the bathroom and is where it always has been because when a cat needs to potty in the house they should do so in the litter box in the bathroom where everyone else uses the toilet.
Cat litter boxes should not be in your living room, dining room, bedrooms, kitchens etc.
If you have an attached garage or a separate laundry room you can put the cats litter box there.
I would not want a cat litter box in my bedroom because it would not really be good to breathe in that stuff.
