The main difference between a hotel and a motel is that the hotel room is accessed from the inside of the building through hallways and staircases and a motel room is a room that is accessed directly from the parking lot.

A hotel also usually has room service and is more fancy inside than a motel room.

The hotel usually cost from $100.00 per night while a motel room can cost as little as $30.00 to $50.00 per night depending on the motel room.

Business people usually stay in hotel rooms while someone traveling may want to get the cheaper motel room although some travels will splurge on a hotel room.

Motels are usually just meant for someone traveling to get a shower and get some rest and then be on their way and for those people who only need a place to sleep and not a fancier place with more luxuries.

Hotels are more expensive because they have more luxuries and things for the person staying at the hotel and they are usually fancier.

A hotel also has the access to the rooms on the inside of the building where a motel you access the motel room from the parking lot.

Hotel rooms usually range from $100.00 to $150.00 per night but sometimes even more if the hotel is more fancier.

You usually get room service in a hotel as well but it can cost an additional amount of money.
