If you miss more than 3 days in a few months or 10 days in a year then you can be fired.

It's not really the days though that you're allowed to miss but instead Walmart uses a different attendance policy which can be hard to understand for some people.

Here's how Walmart’s attendance policy works:

If you clock in ten or more minutes late or clock in or out ten or more minutes early, you get one half of an attendance occurrence

If you miss more than half of your shift, you get one attendance occurrence.

If you call in, you get one attendance occurrence.

If you no-call-no-show, you get three attendance occurrences.

Attendance occurrences fall off after six months.

You are only allowed 4.5 occurrences in a six month period. If you reach 5 occurrences, you will be automatically terminated from the company.

Walmart doesn't coach or write up employees based on attendance.

It is you as the employees responsibility to keep up with how many occurrences you have.

You may keep track of them through the GTA Portal on OneWalmart in store or at home.

If you believe you have received an occurrence incorrectly, you may discuss them with a salary member of management within 90 days.

Also Walmart does not pay you for sick days so you really should try to go to work even when you're sick because you'll need the money with the low pay that Walmart pays their employees.

I always tried to go in sick when I felt like it and only called in sick to Walmart on days when I could barely get out of bed.
