Any blood pressure reading of 135 over 85 is getting high and leading towards prehypertension so you should lower the blood pressure once it gets above 135 over 85.

When the blood pressure reading gets to 180 or above then you're likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke.

So if you notice your blood pressure at 180 or above you really should call 911 to get medical attention or get someone to take you to the hospital before a possible stroke happens.

The optimal blood pressure for most people is 120/80 but even 135/85 can be normal for some people but once the blood pressure gets higher than 135/85 it's getting too high and needs lowered.

Having high blood pressure can damage the tiny blood vessels in your eyes and can lead to eye damage if left untreated.
