Umbrella insurance policies are only needed if you have assets to protect.
If you have no assets that need protection from lawsuits then you do not need umbrella insurance coverage and then the umbrella insurance coverage would not be worth it.
The point of umbrella insurance policies protect your assets from a lawsuit and it only makes sense to buy the additional umbrella insurance policy if you have assets to protect.
Such as if you have a business or other assets or you have a net worth of $500,000.00 or more then getting an umbrella insurance policy would be worth the extra cost.
Getting umbrella insurance coverage is not that expensive but if you do not really need it then it's not worth getting it.
