Being a landlord can be dangerous especially if you do not screen your tenants prior to renting to them.

Sometimes you can get tenants who refuse to pay and then you need to demand payment or evict them and in that case sometimes the tenant can decide they want to harm the landlord.

But that is rare and when you do need to evict a tenant you have to by law and for your safety take the tenant to court and have the tenant evicted.

The court will then demand the tenant leave the premises at a certain date and then if not the sheriff will show up and force the tenant out of the property.

If the tenant still refuses then the tenant will be arrested and taken to jail.

So if your tenant will not leave peacefully and you've evicted them through court then let the police evict them for your safety and to keep you from getting into trouble.

Do not shut off their electricity, water etc or change the locks until the court says so because you could be in trouble yourself.

Do the right things and being a landlord is a pretty safe job and can make you lots of income.
