Yes having low fuel pressure can cause a car to not start or cause the car to start but then stall after a few minutes of idling.

Even when the fuel pump is working and producing just a little pressure the car may or may not start because the car needs the proper amount of fuel pressure to start and stay running.

The low fuel pressure could be caused by clogged fuel filter or the fuel pump itself or could even be a clogged fuel line somewhere.

If your engine is getting spark and still not starting then it could be the low fuel pressure issue causing the car to fail to start.

You should have someone hook a fuel pressure tester up to your vehicle to test for proper fuel pressure or have a mobile mechanic come by your house or location to check it.

On some vehicles the fuel pressure should be between 30 PSI and 40 PSI and other vehicles the fuel pressure should be 50 PSI to 60 PSI.
