If your car has a brake/shift interlock it could be that the brake/shift interlock is messed up and needs fixed.
Some cars will require you to press the brake pedal down fully until you can release the gear shift out of park.
You could also have something binding the gear shift linkage as well.
It's hard to tell unless the car can actually be looked at in person but try pressing the brake pedal down more and then try to shift it out of park.
Sometimes I have to work the gear shift lever back and forth with a little force to sometimes get the gear shift unstuck.
I would take the vehicle to a mechanic and have them look at it if possible or have a mechanic come to your house or location to look at it.
Even if you could find a local handyman mechanic they can usually figure out the reason of the gear shift being stuck in park.
