Yes in a way babies that are in the mothers womb can be one of the decision makers in when they are born.

Sometimes the baby will move into position too early and cause an early birth which is sometimes not good for the babies health and they may be born premature.

Other times the baby may decide to be born a few weeks early or even a few weeks later.

If the baby doesn't come out of the mothers womb naturally on the expected due date then sometimes a C section may need to be done or the mother may have to have the labor induced.

Having the baby stay in the mothers womb too long is also not good for the babies health.

But usually when your due date comes the baby will get  into position and the labor can soon start.

Sometimes you'll give birth on the exact due date and sometimes sooner or even sometimes a week or so later.

It's a good idea to get a checkup at the doctor to see where the babies position is and make sure everything is going good with the baby and that the birth should go as planned.
