Filming just one 1 hour TV show takes around 2 to 4 weeks per each episode being filmed and then it can take another week or so to get the 1 hour long TV show edited.
Editing a TV show is a painstaking process according to a friend of mine who used to work as a TV show editor and although it paid pretty good he got tired of it and could not enjoy the work anymore.
Usually more than 1 episode of a TV show is being filmed per day in some studios but sometimes only one episode per week or two weeks is being filmed.
Those actors are paid big because being an actor is indeed hard work and harder work than it looks because you have to spend time remembering those scripts and have to get the scenes just right and then redo the scenes if you mess up.
It looks easy on TV to sit there and act but it's harder work than it looks.
