Some people would think that mouse traps or rat traps are not a humane way of killing the mice or rats.

But rat traps are actually the most humane way of killing a rat or mouse as long as the rat trap or mouse trap kills the mouse or rat instantly.

In most cases the rat or mouse will be killed within seconds of the trap snapping their neck.

As for mouse poison or rat poison the mouse or rat eats the poison and then goes back to their nests or wherever they are and then die a slow death.

It can take up to 24 hours sometimes for a mouse or rat to die of poisoning depending on how much rat or mouse poison they ate.

So mouse poison would be less humane than mouse traps when it comes to killing rats and mice.

Of course just trapping the mouse and rat and letting them go alive somewhere would be more humane but mice and rats are disease carrying rodents and can damage wiring and other things.

So it's best that we do kill off rats and mice to prevent those problems.
