Asthma can be transferred and inherited from the mother or father of the child.
But even if the mother or father does not have asthma a child can still get asthma but if the child's mother or father has asthma then it is likely that the child will develop asthma.
But a lot of children who have mothers who have asthma are not born with or develop asthma later on it life.
Asthma can also run in the family and if someone in your family has asthma such as a cousin, nephew, niece etc then your child can develop asthma through it being inherited through the family genes.
There's a lot of things that can be passed down to your kids even though it's not directly from the mother or father.
