High blood pressure can cause chest pains especially if your blood pressure is high enough to cause a heart attack.

If you're noticing chest pains and your blood pressure is high and it won't go back down you need to call 911 or get to the hospital right away.

High blood pressure is a leading cause of heart attacks, heart disease, strokes etc and chest pains is one of the symptoms of a heart attack.

Sometimes chest pains may be caused by something less serious but it's best to get checked out just in case you may be having a heart attack.

If your blood pressure reading is 180 or higher then you need to seek medical attention because your blood pressure is getting dangerously high.

Normal blood pressure readings for most people is 120 over 80 but some people may have a normal blood pressure of 135 over 85 which is also normal.

But once your blood pressure increases above 135 over 85 you need to keep watch on it and lower it down before it gets too high.
