Doctors are not really wealthy as in being really rich but doctors today are certainly not poor like they used to be in the 1800's etc.
A doctor is certainly more wealthy and richer than someone working a minimum wage job but they are not rich or wealthy compared to a singer or a movie star.
Although being a doctor is a high paid job the doctor has or likely still has a lot of medical student debt to pay off that they took out to become a doctor.
The average doctor earns an annual salary of $200,000.00 and sometimes a bit more which is good pay but they still might need to pay off debt which doesn't leave them as much money.
Still a doctor has more money than most people especially if you're working a minimum wage job.
Becoming a doctor is a good high paying job that will always be in demand as well.
