At night when the baby is going back to sleep you can leave the baby swaddled while feeding them and they will be just fine.

If you unswaddle the baby before a night feed it can confuse the baby as to when it's night and day and the baby may not get back to sleep properly.

During the day and in the morning before you feed the baby you should unswaddle the baby which helps them feed better and helps them know the difference between night and day.

I also always unswaddled my babies during the day so that they can have room to move around etc because usually they do not need swaddled during the day and do better not swaddled.

At night swaddling the baby or during naps is good to help the baby feel secure but the baby also needs to be able to move their arms and legs around in the day.
