As of the year 2019 which is now it's estimated that we have at least 150 years left of coal remaining before we run out of coal.

Even if we increase our use of coal we still likely have at least 80 to 100 years or more of coal left so at least in my lifetime and possibly my kids lifetime we won't run out of coal.

The coal is not renewable at least in many peoples lifetimes and even gasoline, oil etc will eventually run out but we have at least 150 to 200 years of gasoline and oil left in the world unless we find more reserves of the gasoline and oil.

Oil and gasoline is renewable but it takes millions of years to replace it through dead animals and people that get into the ground through fossils which is why it's called fossil fuels.

With corn production that is renewable though that is added to gasoline as in ethanol we have more gasoline that can last us longer.

The ethanol helps the gasoline go further so we don't run out as quick.
