If you get hired as an electrician with a company your starting salary as a first year electrician is usually around $12.00 to $15.00 per hour.

As you gain more experience working as an electrician your salary will usually go up to around $30.00 to $50.00 per hour.

If you work for yourself as an electrician and run your own company then you could make $50.00 to $150.00 per hour but you also got to factor in your fuel costs, tools, supplies etc.

When you work for a company as an electrician they will usually supply the tools, supplies etc and then you just do the job and make your hourly pay.

Usually if you work on commercial jobs as an electrician you'll make more money per hour than you would doing jobs at residential homes etc.
