If you try to recharge non rechargeable batteries then the batteries will usually heat up and likely explode and cause a fire.

The batteries that are not meant to be charged should never be charged because if you do try to charge them back up they won't charger properly anyway.

Plus the batteries will heat up and could also damage the charger for the batteries.

The battery will overheat and even leak out and possibly catch fire which could cause a house fire as well if you don't unplug the battery charger soon enough.

I tried charging non rechargeable batteries before and the batteries got too hot and never really charged up that much.

You should always use rechargeable batteries if you want batteries that you can recharge.
