After you've had the gastric bypass weight loss surgery you should have lost between 30% to 40% of excess body fat and weight.

Then after you've lost that amount of weight you should continue to lose between 1 to 2 lbs of weight per week after you've had the gastric bypass banding surgery done.

Within 6 months of having the gastric bypass weight loss surgery done you should have lost 25 to 50 lbs of weight and after a year you should have lost 50 to 100 lbs of weight.

If you're not noticing enough weight loss then you might need to speak with your doctor but even after having the gastric bypass weight loss surgery you should continue to eat healthy and get plenty of exercise once you're feeling up to it.
