Some peoples hands do hurt when they have fibromyalgia and even other parts of the body hurt as well when a person has fibromyalgia.

Pain associated with fibromyalgia is usually more an all over pain experience but sometimes the pain with fibromyalgia can be more localized to one area or a few areas of the body including pain in the hands or wrists.

When you go to get tested for fibromyalgia there are really no lab tests that can be done to diagnose you with fibromyalgia.

The doctor may take some blood samples from you though which can help determine if you have fibromyalgia but it cannot say for sure.

Your doctor when checking you out for fibromyalgia will usually want to rule out other conditions that may have similar symptoms to fibromyalgia.

Some common symptoms of fibromyalgia include, Fatigue, Pain and Tender Points, Headaches, Anxiety and or depression, Sleep Problems, Morning Stiffness and Numbness, and tingling in hands, arms, feet, and legs.
