If the tires you replaced had some uneven wear on them then getting an alignment after getting your tires replaced would be a good idea.
Usually though as long as you tires are wearing evenly then you don't need a wheel alignment every time you get new tires installed on your vehicle.
Still though tires are only replaced every 5 to 10 years depending on how far you drive your vehicle in those times but after 10 years tires are ready to be replaced due to age.
After that amount of time I would recommend paying to get the wheels aligned to keep your new tires in good shape.
Some tire shops will do a free wheel alignment when you have all 4 tires replaced at their tire shop so look into that.
A wheel alignment doesn't have to be done too often though but it won't hurt to get the wheels aligned after replacing your tires.
