A new wheel bearing for a car can cost between $45.00 to $100.00 for the wheel bearing assembly.

Front wheel drive cars will require an entire wheel bearing assembly and not just the wheel bearing and that requires some special tools to replace the wheel bearing and they can sometimes be very hard to get apart to change the wheel bearing assembly out.

A shop would charge between $100.00 to $300.00 for parts and labor depending on the make and model of vehicle and how difficult it is to change out the wheel bearing assembly.

On rear wheel drive vehicles then changing the front wheel bearings just requires removing the brake rotors and replacing the bearings and seals.

In that case the wheel bearings may only cost $100.00 to $200.00 to replace.

It all depends on the shop and their rates though but if you can do it yourself then replacing the wheel bearings is not all that expensive.
