Yes it's normal for some antidepressants to make some people feel worse for awhile and then eventually make them feel better.

When I was taking antidepressants I began to feel worse for at least a few weeks before I began to feel better.

I thought something was wrong because I was feeling a lot worse in my depression than I was before so I talked to my doctor and he said that it was normal and that I should be feeling much better after at least a few weeks to a month of taking the antidepressants.

So continue to take the antidepressants for awhile and your body should begin to get used to the antidepressants and then you should feel better after a few weeks to a month.

Some people have reported feeling worse for a few months after they began to take antidepressants which is also normal.

If you continue to feel bad or worse after you take the antidepressants after a few months then the medicine may not be working for you and you should speak with your doctor.

Some antidepressants have actually gave people suicidal thoughts.
