The way you get Legionnaires disease from a shower is through the bacteria in the water and bacteria in your shower head.

If you keep the shower head clean by soaking it in some vinegar and or bleach then you can kill the bacteria that causes the Legionnaires disease.

Not everyone's shower will contain the bacteria that causes Legionnaires disease but some peoples shower's do.

Keep your shower clean and shower head clean good enough and you should not get Legionnaires disease or at least you'll lessen your chances of getting Legionnaires disease.

In all my years of taking showers I've never gotten Legionnaires disease and I keep my shower head and shower clean.
