Yes sharkbite plumbing fittings are very safe for drinking water although there are warnings on the sharkbite fittings and other plumbing fittings warning about lead and other cancer producing chemicals that are known to the state of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm.
That is just a general warning that California has put in place and it's on everything you buy or at least nearly everything which makes it comical when I see the warning.
