Most people are so overjoyed and can't wait for retirement but after a year or 2 of being retired and not having to go to work the fun wears off and they decide that they are getting bored at doing nothing and some even go find a part time job.
But if you look around and think about it there's plenty to do to keep you active and happy in retirement.
You don't have to find another job but you can volunteer once in awhile at soup kitchens, community events etc.
Take up gardening and grow your own food, do repairs around the house or fix up the house like you wanted to but didn't have the time for the projects when you were working a job.
Go for bike rides, do arts and crafts and even sell those arts and crafts at arts and crafts fairs or even on websites like etsy.
When you retire you can't just sit around on the couch or a recliners as your health will decline and you won't get to enjoy retirement for long.
You must stay active in your retirement and old age if you want to enjoy a lot of years after retirement.
