When a person has liver disease and is dying as a result of liver failure the death from liver failure usually is a slow death.

Some people may not even know they have liver failure if they don't go to the doctor to get tested for it.

Without going to the doctor it can be hard to tell if someone has liver failure because liver failure can have a number of symptoms that are similar to other conditions.

People who are experiencing liver failure usually have symptoms including jaundice, ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, swelling of the abdomen, fatigue, weakness etc.

If you notice symptoms especially the Jaundice or sudden swelling of the abdomen then I would recommend getting tested for liver failure.

If you are diagnosed with liver failure then you can expect to live from 1 to 5 years depending on what stage the liver failure is in.
