Some non rechargeable batteries can actually be recharged at least a few times safely as long as you watch over the batteries while they are in the battery charger so that they don't overheat and explode.

The non rechargeable batteries will tend to overheat in a battery charger so you need to check on the batteries often and if they begin to get too hot you need to remove the batteries so they don't overheat.

It can be dangerous to recharge non rechargeable batteries so it's not recommended to do so and you will do so at your own risk.

I've had a few non rechargeable batteries explode on me when I tried recharging them so I don't do it anymore but I do have rechargeable batteries that I recharge and although they cost more they actually save money because they can be reused several times so they actually save me money.
