Both regular batteries and alkaline batteries are good batteries and they both work good but the alkaline batteries tend to last a bit longer and are better for high drain devices than the regular batteries are.

The alkaline batteries usually cost more money than regular batteries do but alkaline batteries are usually the best batteries especially if you have something that needs more power than a remote control.

The main difference between regular batteries and alkaline batteries is the type of electrolyte used in the making of the batteries.

The alkaline batteries are made using potassium hydroxide electrolyte while the regular types of batteries such as the zinc batteries are mostly made of ammonium chloride.
