I've always wiped both my baby girl and baby boy when they were in diapers even if they just peed.
They wore disposable diapers that were very absorbent but still a small amount of wetness gets onto the babies skin which is delicate and could cause a rash.
Also pee begins to smell also after awhile even when you've changed their diaper because the small amount of pee is still on their skin.
Even if you just use a washcloth with some water and soap it's better than not wiping the girls bottom and private area at all.
I would not want to have my diaper changed after peeing and not be wiped up afterwards so I wouldn't do that to my kids either.
I like to keep my kids clean just like I like to keep myself clean.
