Little white worms are usually maggots which are housefly larvae.
The little white worms can also be meal moths who lay their eggs in or near dried bits of food and then after they hatch the larvae are white colored worms that can usually be seen crawling along walls or on the ceiling.
Houseflies will typically lay there eggs in trash and other areas that are trashy but can also lay the eggs in just about anywhere.
I once had flies lay their eggs and maggots under my bed for some reason even though my bedroom and under my bed were and are very clean.
I saw little white worms crawling out from under my bed and crawling across my floor and looked under my bed and it happened to be the maggots that I was seeing.
I had to use some bug spray to kill them and then vacuumed them up off my floor.
