Worms do not have a big brain like us humans do and have no pain receptors so worms cannot feel any pain when you step on them, cut them in half etc.

The same is true for Crayfish and Lobsters who also have no pain receptors or anyway to send a signal to a brain that allows them to feel pain.

A lot of invertebrates including the lobsters have no way to feel the pain and that's why we can boil lobsters alive and they don't feel a thing except they might know that they are dying.

The Lobster might feel bad that it's gonna die but they cant' feel the pain just like the worms have no ability to feel any pain you may try to subject them too.

In order to feel pain you need the pain receptors and the part in the brain to process that pain signal and worms and lobsters etc do not have those things.
