Most cases of Lyme Disease do go away on their own without medical treatment.

If the Lyme Disease you have is not too severe then the Lyme Disease should go away within a few weeks and if the Lyme Disease lasts longer than a couple of weeks then you should see a doctor or go to urgent care or the emergency room to be safe.

In some cases the Lyme Disease will require antibiotics or injections to get rid of the Lyme Disease.

When you have Lyme Disease the Symptoms of Lyme Disease will be like the flu with symptoms such as fever, tiredness, headache, and muscle aches.

If the symptoms start to get worse or the Lyme Disease does last longer than a few weeks then I would highly advise you to go to urgent care or the emergency room.

In some rare cases Lyme Disease can kill you but usually it goes away on it's own.

Still it's better to get treated to be safe.

You can die from Lyme disease but most people recover from Lyme disease.

Typical symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans.

If Lyme disease is left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.

Lyme disease is diagnosed based on symptoms, physical findings (e.g., rash), and the possibility of exposure to infected ticks.

Deer ticks can carry the bacteria that causes Lyme

Lyme disease causes a rash, often in a bull's-eye pattern, and flu-like symptoms.

Joint pain and weakness in the limbs also can occur.

Most people with Lyme disease recover completely with appropriate antibiotic treatment.

For those who develop syndromes after their infection is treated, pain medications may provide symptomatic relief.

Dying from Lyme Disease is possible in rare cases but the death in Lyme Disease infected people is usually not a direct result of the Lyme Disease itself.

Instead the person who is infected with Lyme Disease usually dies as a result of complications from the Lyme Disease and the most common complication from Lyme Disease is respiratory failure.

The respiratory failure is usually from the Lyme Diseases long term effects on the central nervous system.

If you do get bit by a tick which is the way you get infected with Lyme Disease you should see a doctor for treatment before it gets worse.

It would be a good idea to get tested for Lyme Disease after you get bitten by a tick just to be safe.

If you experience any of the below symptoms of Lyme Disease then you should get to urgent care or the emergency room just to be safe.

Some Symptoms of Lyme Disease are Heart palpitations or an irregular heartbeat, Loss of muscle tone or “drooping” on one or both sides of the face, Arthritis with severe joint pain and swelling, particularly in the knees, Severe headache or neck stiffness and Rashes on other areas of the body.

Lyme Disease is not always fatal but sometimes it can if it's left untreated for years and it gets worse.
