The most common causes of dirt fuel injectors are debris or impurities in the gasoline or other fuel that you use in your vehicle.

Your vehicles fuel filter should keep most of the debris or impurities out of the fuel system and out of the fuel injectors.

But sometimes a little bit of impurities or debris can reach the fuel injectors and clog up the fuel injectors.

It's best to change the fuel filter every 10 years or every 40,000 to 50,000 miles and also use a fuel injector cleaner fuel additive at every other fill up of gasoline.

So every other time you fill up your gas tank you should dump a bottle of fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank to help keep the fuel injectors clean.

A dirty fuel injector can cause engine misfiring, loss of engine power, sputtering, engine stalling, poor acceleration etc.
