Can you use heavy duty antifreeze in a car?

Yes you can safely use the heavy duty antifreeze in your car and it will likely protect the cars engine and cooling components better than standard antifreeze and may also help keep the cars engine cooler.

But you'll also be paying more for the heavy duty antifreeze than you would if you used standard automotive antifreeze for gas engines.

Just be aware that on some cars the heavy duty antifreeze that contains additional additives for diesel engines might corrode and ruin engine components in some cars and especially those with aluminum engine blocks.

I personally would not use the heavy duty antifreeze in my car unless I had to and couldn't get anymore antifreeze at the time.

And you'd save some money by using regular antifreeze made for cars and trucks.
