You should always use a wet wipe to wipe the pee from the baby or toddlers skin when changing their diaper even when the diaper is just wet.

Although disposable diapers absorb the urine really good there will still be trace amounts of urine on the baby or toddlers skin which can then turn to ammonia and cause a rash.

So always use either a wet rag or use a wet baby wipe to wipe the babies bottom and private area down even just a little bit.

When my kids were in diapers I would use the wet baby wipes to wipe off any pee that may be on their diaper area.

If they pooped their diaper when they were home I would just use the shower wand to wash their butts off especially when they were 1 and 2 and 3 years old.

It was easier to just spray the poop off and shower them down when changing a poop diaper instead of using a baby wipe or washcloth to wipe the poop up.

Wiping the baby or toddlers diaper area down even if it's just a pee diaper will help keep the child from smelling like pee as well and prevent a rash.
